As we slide into February, there’s a lot on people’s minds: Omicron, Valentine’s Day, and we’re officially going into tax season now (February until the third Monday in April)
Traditionally speaking, this is a time when we start thinking less with our Want and more with our Wallet, as we hope that the blessing of a good return won’t quickly vanish under a heap of our debts. Some will seize the moment and do their taxes as early as possible, wanting to get the refund doing everything it can for them as soon as possible. Others will procrastinate and wait until April 18th to get their papers filed. Either way, the deadline comes for us all!
Why is Import Auto telling you this? For many consumers, your vehicle could use the attention that a tax return can get it. Your car needs preventive maintenance for its upkeep. If you have not been doing an excellent job of keeping up with the manufacturer’s recommended services, we’d like to make the case that you should. Your car can’t fix itself, as a body can. It must be serviced to get better. Brakes will wear down, and if ignored, will begin to damage the entire brake system. Fluids will darken and thicken as time goes on and will come to cause damage to your fuel system if not looked after. Your transmission will need adjustment over time, or it will begin to damage your car.
People who wait for their vehicle to need repairs don’t realize their costly mistake. Neglecting your car’s preventive maintenance can damage the long-term survival of the car. Replacing your brake pads on time costs you money. Waiting until the brakes system can’t disperse the heat and the brakes fail costs you a lot more money. It’s simple, unassailable logic that preventive maintenance saves you money.
